I recd a robo-VM saying my SSN had been illegally used in Texas and there was a warrant for my arrest, blah blah blah. I Google the 800# and it's allegedly a telemarketing company so I called back to let them know how their # was being used. The woman's response left me suspicious that she is more aware of the situation than it just being a case of a scanner duplicating their #. Sure enough, not 90 minutes later the same 800# called me and left the same ROBO-VM. DO NOT TALK TO THEM. DO NOT EVEN WORRY ABOUT THIS IF THEY CALL YOU. THIS IS NOT HOW THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE NOR THE GOVT OPERATES WHEN IT COMES TO IDENTIFY THEFT OR MISUSE OF A SSN. THEY WILL NEVER EVER CALL YOU. PERIOD. SAME GOES FOR TAX ISSUES AS THE SCAMMERS OFTEN TRY THE SAME SCAM ALLEGING YOU OWE BACK TAXES. JUST BLOCK THE # THEY CALL YOU FROM AND IGNORE IT. These kinds of scams only work if you are stupid enough to fall for it by sending them money!

Managed to get through and someone posing as an officer Morrison wanted all my information, I said I am not giving you anything since you are the one who called, I said I want all of your info, his name was Andrew Morrison badge # 417J2843 gave his address as 16200 Dillard Dr, Houston, TX 77040 which is the SS Administration office in Houston (you can find this in google pretty quick). So I told him my lawyers will be in contact with the office and hung up. This is certainly a scam..
