Discover Card Debt Collection. Robot caller that does not indicate the call is being made for this purpose. It just says there is something important about your account. Once transferred to a real person, all the legalese is barfed out at you once you say you are the person they've been trying to reach. The tactics they use are all within the law thankfully (i.e. no threats to send you court summons or sometimes the sheriff to arrest you) but they will do everything they can to get your bank info before letting you off the call. Unfortunately, there is no legal limit to how many times they can call your number so 4-8 times a day is about the norm.

They call all the time everyday so I answered to tell them to stop. They said they were Discover and wanted to speak to my husband (who was not home). I asked if this was a solicitation or promotion and rep said no. But if there was really any problems you'd think Discover would mail and email my husband. They have his other info. Something is fishy.
