Spoofed number, tried to have me install something on computer. (Scam call) reported by


The Caller ID said Los Angeles. I called the number from another phone and was told that it was not a valid number. When I confronted him about this and informed him that spoofing numbers is illegal in NY where I am he persisted in trying to get me to give him information and install something on my computer. I asked if he would stay on the phone while I contacted the FBI and he told me to take something (I couldn't understand through his thick accent) and f*** my a** and promptly hung up.

Caller stated he was from the Federal Government Green Department. I advised him the USA Federal Government doesn't have funding for callers. Everything would be by snail mail and that he is a scammer and I'm blocking his number.
