I got a phone call that said suspected spam caller. I picked up but didn't say anything at first. It sounded like a party was going on in the background. I answered with my company name, I can help you as I never say hello or my name on suspect calls. A 20-30 sounding American woman with zero trace of foreign accent asked if it was me by first name. She didn't introduce herself or the company. I asked who was calling, and she said it's (can't remember her name) from Amazon. I thought it was about the order and return I had to do last night. I asked how she was and she said not bad for working on a Saturday. She didn't sound professional, certainly not one of the awesome, helpful, and well-spoken people I've dealt with before at Amazon. Hmmm... She said I had signed up in the past about starting a business from home and said that they finally have positions available. She people are supplementing their income and making a lot of money from home through Amazon, and asked if I was still interested. I sat there silent for a few seconds then asked how she got my number. She reiterated that I requested info about making money through Amazon a while back. I sat there in stunned silence again for a few seconds, said uuuhhhh, then she finally hung up. I Googled the number she called from and found other people had reported the exact same thing from men and women calling from this number. I didn't give her any info at all, but I wish I didn't verify that she had my first name right.

Man called and asked if it was me, did not introduce himself or company he represents first. I asked who was calling, he said I was receiving this call as an Amazon customer. I asked what it was regarding. He said many people are supplementing their income and making $200-$2000 from home through Amazon, and asked if I was interested in supplementing my income. He said I was receiving a call-back that I requested through a survey a year ago. I asked what survey it was, he couldn't give me a title of the survey, but said it was about making money from home. I said if it was a year ago, that would be hard for me to remember. He asked, "Well, do you want to supplement your income or not?" I was trying to reply that I didn't have time to take this call or not, and he snapped, "It's a 'yes' or 'no' question." I went on to say I could not take this call at this time, and if I was interested I would seek out the information on my own. Before I could finish my sentence, he hung up. Either Amazon has terrible customer service - which doesn't seem likely - or this is a scammer. Supposedly they want you on as a home business person, but the nature of the call was more like a rude collector or con artist. I worry this is a scam. If it is legitimately Amazon, I would never in a lifetime sign on with someone who starts the relationship with being expectant and rude - as if I owe them the response they want. Doesn't sound like a smart way to invest one's time or money.

Claimed to be Amazon with an opportunity to work from home - refused to answer how my contact info was provided - then laughed and said, we are going to call you again tomorrow, "this is how its going to go" - as if to torment - I pray the FTC nabs this shady operation that is costing Americans productive time / money!
