Not necessarily a bad call (Call centre) reported by Duke Energy
I got a call from them. I have budget billing on my power account and just finished a yearly cycle. The call was to inform me of a change to the amount due monthly for the next 11 months. My son answered or I never would have known why they called. So if you have budget billing, this is a possibility.

Checking around, this is an ongoing scam and you should not give it any details--call Duke Power directly from the phone number at their site, or log into your account, if you want to be sure of this, but yeah.

Well not directly Duke Energy, but this number belongs to a call center working for them, don't be surprised if they call you with debt collecting or something similar... Just do not provide them with any personal details and check your bill directly with Duke Energy - http://www.duke-energy.com/
