Fraudulently claimed to be Direct TV / AT&T (Scam call) reported by


They left voicemail for 50% promo off of my current Direct TV / AT&T cable and internet package and specifically asked me to call same number back. Didn't have typical option for Spanish, and no notice that call may be monitored or recorded. Asked me how much my bill was, I questioned why they couldn't see that themselves. Then they went on mute (not on hold) for a couple minutes because 'his system was updating' and then asked for my name and account passcode. They told me they could offer $59.99 monthly package for 3 years, plus 2 premium channels, plus 1 season NFL Ticket, but I needed to prepay 6 months (My current monthly bill is almost $150). When they asked if they could sign me, I asked them to tell me the exact total of my bill, and he went on mute again. After a couple minutes I hung up suspecting it was a scam. I called the phone number on the legitimate website and they said that the only promo they had for my account was 3 premium channels for free. After that, I changed my passcode.
