The message is just giving me an unrequested passcode. The first time I heard the first message was 5 days after it had been placed on August 12th. Then I had a message from Synchrony Back and I decided I had better call the number on my card. Well, my Walmart Visa credit card had been hacked and nearly a $1000 dollars of online purchases were made on my account all over the US. Called Walmart Visa and reported the fraud and they cancelled the card immediately and issued me a new one. It will take 60-90 days for the fraud investigation before the charges are removed. I just got another call from this number giving me another one time passcode. So I guess someone is at it again with the cancelled card. This online world is so convenient for those of us who don't live near areas that have access to many goods and products, but it is a gamble now everytime one tries to get something online and not have to travel hundreds of miles to shop for certain things. I haven't even gotten my replacement card yet and now have worry about more fraud.
