IRS scam (Scam call) reported by Donna
Received an automated call saying it was the IRS and that I needed to call back regarding tax evasion. Upon calling back was told that I owed $3,987 and I could either take it to court and possibly go to jail for 4 years if found guilty or I could do something (it was not clear) today to stop them from signing an arrest warrant. They mentioned freezing my accounts, that i would be arrested in 25 minutes and that they would freeze or revoke my social security number and license. I was yelled at when I started asking questions and I believe one by the name of Paul Jordan (definitely not a Paul Jordan) told me I thought I was smarter than the IRS and that I was just a "poppy seed" I was unclear, his accent was thick. I asked him to give me the last 4 digits of my social security number to verify it was not a scam which was returned with more yelling and being told to not contact them again.
