Woman with good English states that I have several charges pending that is urgent I give her a phone call about case number 236 909 and that she will be verifying my place of employment and my address today. I did not call back. Landed on this page and knew for sure it was a hoax.

They actually called my daughter, but said they wanted to verify me. She forwarded the voicemail to me and that's when I figured it out that this was a scam. I might actually call the number and play with them for a while!

They call and say that you are being served and give a case number and make it sound urgent that you call them back. They got me once, never again - this is a scam

Yes, they just called me saving that I have several allegations and that they need to verify my personal information as well as my employment and gave me a case number.... The woman speaking has good english ( to scare you). I never called the number back, but instead googled to see if it is legit, and I landed on this page. They don't say why your being served either. Scam!
