Scam Call: Hackers hacked my computer (Scam call) reported by


I had a young man with a heavy east Indian accent called me and say that hackers have hacked my computer at home and he's calling to help protect me from my information and identity being stolen. I asked how he got my phone number he said it wasn't important that he was just trying to help me against the Hackers. Impossible because I do not own a desktop or laptop I have a smart phone. He said it was impossible that I didn't have a computer because his records are showing that I had been hacked. I hung then hung up. This young man was persistent he did call me back to inform me that I was wrong and that he was just trying to help me. I told him no thank you, it is a scam, I had looked up this number and saw all the comments, I hung up again, no call back.

It was very hard to understand her(poor english)..She said my computer had a virus and I asked her how could she possibly know that?..I knew it was a scam..Once a person calls me from an unknown long distance number I know it's automatically a scam. Usually they ask for my deceased mother..ughh..I'm sorry but I hung up..

Called me another person's name and then called me by mine when I said it wasn't the first name. Then told me my computer was heavily infected and proceeded to ask if I had a computer. Told the man my computer was protected and he proceeded to ask if I was sure. I said yes and he started asking questions, I told him no thank you and hung up.

Unsolicited computer help call, said I was infected I told him my main computer was a chromebook and they don't get infected. HE seemed flustered and asked if he could show me by installing something on my computer I told him chromebooks don't install stuff and this flustered him more and I hung up.
