I had tried to make an online purchase for a very large amount, which I don't usually do with this particular Synchrony Bank card, so the system flagged it as fraudulent. This number called me, and it was Synchrony Bank verifying that the attempted purchase was legitimate.

They were part of GE Capital (were called "GE Finance" at some point, then were spun off)., retail credit card issuers, (www.synchronybank.com), Safe & Legit call: Fraud alert - they call to verify recent transactions on your credit card.

Paid $600+ bill at vet on Monday w/Care Credit Card. This number called me this morning verifying the purchase. B/c it came from a local number, thought it suspicious. Called the 800 Care Credit number and, while the man I spoke w/seemed a bit dope-ish, he stated he "talked w/ a supervisor" and that, indeed, the number was a Synchrony number. I feel better and pretty much feel it was legit. Hope this helps!

Had paid $600+ bill at my vet with my Snychrony Care Credit Card and this number called me the next day to verify that I had done so. Thought it was suspicious, called Care Credit and, while the guy on the phone seemed a bit dope-ish, he stated that, "after speaking with a supervisor", that they,indeed had called me this morning.
