Did not answer the phone, person left a message. Very thick accent couldn’t even understand what he was trying to say till the end finally realized that it was some kind of recruiter saying that he could get a job with the top 500; obviously, he got my resume from monster or indeed or Glassdoor

This caller stated they wanted to speak with me about a night supervisor position, the name of the company I couldn't understand. Garbled and accent made it impossible. Listened to the message 4 times and never understood what she said. I hadn't applied to a night position. So it must be a fishing expidition.

For several days they would call several times in a row. Never left a voice message, they just kept calling. If I did not pick up they simply called again seconds later. Finally answered and had the same experience as others have noted about a fake job posting.

After getting multiple emails AND calls, I finally answered the phone. A man with a really thick Indian accent answered and started asking about a job position for a big company (couldn't really make out what kind of company, since I couldn't understand half of what he said). I hung up and blocked the number. More than likely, it's a phishing scam, and they got our information off of a job site like Monster/Indeed.

They are employment recruiters that are just phishing for information. The labor laws in this country says that an employer cannot discriminate in respect to age, gender, race, etc. If you stay on the phone with them long enough, they will either ask you for your birthday, or the last 4 digits of your social security number. If a company can't discriminate by your age, they don't need your birthday, and if a job has not been OFFERED (not pending an interview, but an ACTUAL offer) they don't need a social. It's basically a scam
