New Windows Error Message Scam (Scam call) reported by


Windows error message scammer have upgraded their scam with a very professional sounding robocall. Usual “your Windows computer has been sending error messages” if you want to speak to a technician call a specified number or press #1. I pressed 1 got a foreign sounding female who wanted me to log in and enter some information that I’m certain would have given her access to my computer. I told her my system was an Apple Mac and never had Microsoft Windows installed. Of course she said that didn’t matter because they were all the same. I told her exactly what I thought of her stupidity and there was no way the operating systems were the same and even if they were Microsoft had announced that they would NEVER call anyone about system errors unless the person had called them first.
