I purposely played along with them by sounding interested in their service to help people get more government benefits (mainly Social Security). Each person keeps sweet talking you for about 2 minutes then says "I am handing you over to our next expert". Each person keeps feeling you out to see if you are vulnerable & foolish enough to first give them your Social Security # and then your credit card #. When the 3rd person I spoke to said "We think you have an excellent case to win Social Security Dissability benefits and would like to represent you. We just need your Social Security number", I replied "So are we going to set up an appointment where I meet the lawyer?" That 3rd person hesitated for over 10 seconds, quietly spoke with someone else in the background then said "You only have to meet with our lawyer on the first day of your hearing. We will handle all the work over the phone beforehand but to start the process we need your Social Security number and a small down payment with your credit card." I replied "How much?" then that 3rd person said "500 dollars". I replied "I can't afford that right now and shouldn't you only charge me if you win my case?". He replied "We have a special hardship rate for people who have an excellent case but can not afford the standard 500 dollars down payment, just 100 dollars." I replied "I will let you handle my case but on a pay if you win basis and I must meet with the lawyer at least once. Where is your nearest office?". They hung up !!!

This caller thought I had picked up. Rang once. I called number back and a recording said "Thank you for calling National Disability". I have never called this before before.
