i received a pink letter from a company calling themselves Americans Home Protect. It said my home warenty about to expire. When I called the number I gotta sales agent. I discussed the warenty with him. I asked if this was the company ( American Home Shield ). I have been doing business with American Home Shield for quite some time. He told me that after your contract with American Home Shield was over you would be doing business and upgraded to American Home Protect. I signed up to the different company made a payment on my credit card, and we were done. He gave me a confirmation number and a new phone number. After I hung up I got suspicious and called our insurer American Home Shield. I found out that they were not connected with American Home Protect. I immediately called my card company and had the charge reversed. This company is a scam. There phone agents are liars and will try to get your money and your card number. I called my card company and got a new card to shop any further charges. WATCH OUT!

I got a pink letter in the mail stating that my home warranty about to expire. I called the number out of curiously. The gentleman and I use that word loosely, was very persistent that I give him my credit card right away so I could get the one time only discount he was going to give me. I told him I needed to talk to my husband about it first but he insisted I give him my payment information so he could charge me a $190 down payment for my extended home warranty. I told him I would call him in the morning and he became irate so I hung up the phone. I researched the company on BBB and the website said the company has been out of business for quite some time. I believe this was a scam.
