Called me 5 times in 30 minutes on a phone that is not active (Scam call) reported by


I got a new phone a month ago and this number called me 5 times… 1:23 pm (3X) and 1:53 pm (2X) on my old phone that no longer had an active number associated with it only Wi-Fi.

I called the number back as I had received 2 calls in 5 minutes with no voicemails left. I called them and they could not find my information in their system and asked if the person gave me any info why they called and I told them no I missed the calls and there were no voicemails. While I was talking to this person who was extremely helpful, the number called again and no voicemail. The number called again less than 5 minutes later and when I did answer I was put on hold to wait for an "agent" and then was hung up on. They either have a very poor automated system or someone is spoofing their number for fraud.

Medical billing company for many health care organizations including Verus Healthcare. They were calling about $42 bill I had been trying to pay unsuccessfully online. Agent helped me complete the online registration for Verus Healthcare and I set up auto payment. They were collecting a bill, but not a debt collector.

Claimed to be calling from the "billing department" of a local medical equipment co. Spoke with Indian accent. Amount is real and not large but is in dispute with insurance. I told her that I would pay to the company but not to a collection agency. She continued to insist that she was with their "billing department". Gave me a PO box in Philadelphia to send to. I asked her if there was a reference number to use, she said no. Sounded suspicious.
