I received three calls from this number, all of which I missed. It sounded so urgent that I was alarmed and called back ASAP. Something went crossways and it appeared that two calls were answered at once - mine and another caller's. They apparently couldn't hear me, so I listened in to see if this was a legitimate thing. They gathered all sorts of information from this other poor woman and I wanted so badly to butt in and tell her STOP don't give information but I also didn't want to further weird her out by speaking up ten minutes into the conversation. Upon answering the phone, the call center worker did not give any information aside from a first name ("Joe"), and did not explain the reason for the call. He asked all sorts of questions that she did not have information on hand to answer. These calls appear to be from a predatory company parading under the guise of making it easier to pay off student loans. Only interact with your legitimate lender, and do not give out information to companies you are not positive is your loan servicer!

"Shawn" called me too. I'm on the do not call registry and have blocked the number now. I suggest you do what I do when I get a call like this - file it with the FTC. www.complaints.donotcall.gov and if you're not already on the Do Not Call Registry, sign up! donotcall.gov

I received a call from this number, ringing just a half a ring, before going to voice mail. I too got a message from Shawn, indicating that my federal student loan review is going to expire. I do have student loans, however, they are serviced by a reputable company, and are all in good standing, and no reviews are currently underway.

My phone rung once then went straight to voicemail. Shawn is a busy guy, becaus ehe called me too! He needs a raise as he is working too hard. I work in credit card fraud so I didn't believe him from the moment he started talking on my voicemail. Any legitimate company would not leave a voicemail like he does.

I verified with FedLoan, this is a student loan scam. "Shawn" left me a message advising me to contact immediately. That my "Balance Reduction Program" may expire soon. I tried to contact them back, tried each prompt and was hung up on each time. Be aware, do not give out any of your sensitive information to unknown solicitors.

"Shawn" called to tell me the federal student loan debt relief program was due to expire soon and to get on it. Joke's on him - none here for him to save me from either. SCAAAAAAAAM. I'm *also* on the DNC, *have* reported them to the FTC, have them set to go straight to voicemail, and have notified them of these things in the past. Yet they still persist.

I've been receiving messages from these people for months. I do have student loans but am serviced through a reputable federal program and already am enrolled in loan forgiveness. I called them back to advise that I am on the national do not call registry, that I have not solicited these calls and if I was not removed immediately the lack of action would result in my reporting them. I refused to give them any personal information.

A "Shawn" called me, too. I do think it is a scam. I did call the number back and when I went through the automated selections I realized that it was a sales pitch - ways to reduce your student loans. But it is not the Federal Student Loans site. I thought it was about my student loans because I have been working with the federal student loans site.... I blocked the number!!

Received voicemail from Sean from Federal Student Loan review asking me to call to lower my student loan payments before the student loan reduction statute expires. Total scam. No such agency exists. No such statute exists. Even creepier that they sent the message directly to my voicemail.

I received a call as well today. They left a voicemail. Loan reductions are too good to be true so instead of calling back I googled the number. They said to call back because the deal may expire. ???? There's a lot of scammers out there and this unfortunately is another one.

"Sean" left a voicemail in regards recent reduction in student loan. Stated it was important that I call. I am worried because I did call back and you are prompted to choose if your student load is Over 10,000, choose 1. If under 10,000, choose 2. Choosing 0 states I chose an invalid option. I chose one of the prompts and it when to what sounded like an old fashioned answering machine. I said nothing and blocked the number. I hope that works.

Called today. I didn't answer because it didn't ring. The only reason I know they called is because a message was left. (If I have a number blocked, they can continue to leave voice mails but my phone won't ring.) The message that was left sounded like a real guy who'd memorized a script about reducing my student loans and how any programs might be expiring soon. Full disclosure: I do have student loans, but I won't be calling back.
