Didn't answer. Called back using Skype (not traceable)and someone who spoke terrible English answered and said "CRA Canada". I didn't say anything and neither did he for like a minute, so you know the guy isn't legit. I hung up. Checked on here and realized what it is.

They will call and it's a robocall with a menacing message that if you or your lawyer do not contact them then you will face dire consquences. Canada Revenue Agency will NEVER robocall you or leave you threatening messages if you really do owe them money. Do not call this number back.

I red'd a number of calls. I answered once- they said it was CRA Audit dept and obtain a lawyer and NOT to disregard the call. I called back and they angrily asked for my Name and I asked them to prove they were Revenue Canada, then the line went silent and the called ended. I didn't give them my name. I went on tom MY Account with the CRA and saw there was no outstanding emails for me to respond to. Thereby confirming to me his call was a SCAM. The voice had a South Asian accent,

I got a call and it was automated message telling me it was canada revenue crime division. that i was NOT to ignore the call but to return it and have a lawyer and if I didn't then they wish me good luck in whatever happens. I know this is fraudulent but I called them back out of curiousity.. the person answered as 'revenue canada'. i told her that i received a call and was confused about the message.. she said i would need to provide her with my NAME, PHONE # AND SOCIAL INSURANCE # in order for me to help me.. no need to tell you i ended that conversation immediately.. i don't understand how these people are getting away with this!

Called and asked me or my legal attorney on record. Said there was an important issue at hand and not to ignore this call. If I or my attorney did not call their hot line the only thing they could do is wish me luck as the situation unfolds on me. Ended with a stern Goodbye. Googled phone number came back as a Toronto condo rental agency. Deleted voice mail carried on with my life. Was glad to find this page though. Very similar instances occurring everywhere.

Recorded message, TOTAL SCAM, said they were from the Canadian revenue agency fraud and crime division, to call back otherwise legal action would take place. I googled the number they left, got some some rental agency in Toronto. I called the number back using another phone, it just rang and rang. Then called back on the phone they called me on, after 3 rings, a different ring then someone answered. All aggresive, I said I googled then and the number is not legit, they said check the website again, then mysteriously the line went dead. SCAM!!!!
