Dont have a Capital One card (Scam call) reported by Not Born Yesterday
Asked for Christine, told him he had wrong number and proceeded to fumble through words and said that no that was the person that tried to use my card. I told him I don’t have a capital one card, to stop trying to scam people and hung up.

Scammer tired to trick me. firs texted from 808-600-6443 (Scam call) reported by Dee
I got a scam/phishing text from 808-600-6443, pretending to be Capital One bank, asking if I authorized a charge at Walmart Super Center for a specific amount, and to reply Yes, No or Stop to opt out of fraud alerts. I texted No. They texted, saying that they'd call me shortly. Phone rang and it had this number 877-383-4802, and came up on my phone caller ID as "Cap One Bank" so I answered. Young man, basically said that someone tried to use my card at a Walmart in CA. I said it definitely wasn't me, I don't live there and I'm home. Then, he said they had record of someone logging into my account in that area and that they entered a new Zelle account and made a transfer of $2500. I don't even have that much in any of my bank accounts right now, so I figured this phone call was fraud. I said as much and the guy said, "No, really. This is Capital One calling." I said, "I'll call the number on the back of my card, then." He kept trying to get me to agree to something, and said he'd send another text that I needed to reply "Yes" to. I said that sounds really unusual, I'll call the number on the back of my card. I hung up. Called Capital One and reported it. Funny. I don't even have a Capital One account. I was just caught off guard because I used to have an account there. After I talked to them, I texted the person back, telling them what I thought of them and that it's been reported. We had a back and forth exchange of insults and he asked what made me think it's fraud. I said when I looked at your phone number. He asked how it looked when it came over and asked me to screen shot it and send it to him. obviously, I didn't. I told him that he's incriminating himself and it's being investigated. For the record - the Capital One rep told me that they'd NEVER text you or make a call like that. Beware.

Called and said their was a law suit against me. He said my name which was correct but then said a birth date and last 4 of a social security number. Both birthday and last 4 of ssn didn't belong to me. When i said that info wasn't correct and that i have life lock which monitors my credit and identity he hung up quick . scary that he has someones information.
