I answered the number and heard nothing. I hung up in 2 secs. Called the number back and the prompt said welcome to Secu credit union. SECU doesn’t have this as a number.

Person called and said I owed on my credit card, and was several months passed due. I put them on hold to check my accounts, WHICH ARE FINE, and they hung up after 30 seconds. TOTALLY BOGUS.

I didn’t answer but the lady stated that she was calling from the state credit union and she needed to talk to me. She was stuttering when she was reading the script stating the hours to contact them. The voicemail was bizarre and said, if this isn’t (my name) then hang up because this call contains private information but if it is me, then call back during such and such hours. That just doesn’t sound typical of a bank, especially to call at 7:45 P.M.

Fake Navy Federal Credit Union Scam (Scam call) reported by


I verified with Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU), this number is not a verified number with NFCU and is a scam. I didn't answer the call and they proceeded to leave a message stating it was NFCU and they were attempting to collect a debt. That is when I proceeded to call the number on the NFCU website and they told me this was not a verified number. Do NOT give any information to these people.
