I stated I was recording the call. They stated they were Geek Squad service and I was being charged $399 for my computer service. I stated I don’t have any service. And hung up.

Claimed the same with me. I told them to cancel everything and take me off their calling list, and offered to report them as a scammer. He "assured" me he was not (ya right) and said they cannot take me off the list, but I have to do it myself. He said I had to go to a certain website. His directions were (more than once, mind you) to "get in front of the computer and turn it on. Then look at the bottom most left corner of the keyboard for the 'control' key." I told him I was not stupid and to just give me the website. Of course his response was that it was a real website and once I saw it I would say "oh ya, man, you were right." Ugh. I should have asked him his name. I hung up. There's no website. They just want access to your computer.

They're trying to scam you by saying they're Microsoft and saying they will debit your bank account if you call them . As far as I know Microsoft doesnt have recorded messages telling you this or live people for thst matter . Dont fall for it .
