Debt collector trying to collect on a debt that I paid off several years earlier. I asked them why they keep calling me, they said they have never called before. I told them it was paid and had proof. When I faxed over proof I noticed that this was the same company that I had already faxed proof to a year earlier, so they apparently keep trying to collect on this every year. Tried to call them back and got disconnected line.

They called 10 times in a row till I finally answered they offering help settling tax debts. I told them I did not have one. They then said why did you call the IRS then. I just hung up. I blocked the number now they are calling from a different number

I asked what the matter concerned and they just wanted me to verify my indentity and confirm social security number. I told them I wasn't interested until they told me what they wanted, he interrupted and told me I WAS interested and I hung up.
