They called and left a message that they just needed to confirm the contact information about a relative I have not even seen for 15 years. I honestly didn't even know if she was still alive. I'm not calling back and encouraging them to keep my number on file. Blocking.

Consumer Portfolio Services. These people are RIDICULOUS!! Spoke with rep and explained we were victims of ID theft. All of our banking was hacked and payment would be made as soon as new info was available and sent from bank...they STILL called everyday, texted and emailed 4 times a day!! THEN , even after payment was made CONTINUED!! They will not stop because they state a $25 late fee is due AND insist our insurance is canceled! No ****, insurance was late due to the bank accounts being hacked. This company has had 11...11class action lawsuits and I'm looking to be the 12th!!

Called and left several messages regarding a woman who was going into default on her loan for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's no one that I have even met and I have had the number for almost 12 years, so it's not as if she could have been using it recently? I attempted to call back on the actual Consumer Portfolio Services number and when it started pushing me to a menu to talk to a rep. I just blocked the number.

They call my whole family asking for personal information on my sister such as her address and phone number for places employment. She’s never had an account with these people and she’s got a perfect credit. Nothing negative on her credit report. I feel this place is a scam. I hope there’s something we can do about that.

I had to listen to the voice message multiple times as her voice was a bit low and it was a bit difficult to hear. I did however hear her say "this message is for (my name) regarding (someone else's name) that I did not know. I was confuse so I called and it was from CPS a debt collector. I then became really confused because I'm not delinquent on any of my debts/bills so I hung up. But I wanted to know what was going on so I called again but also googled the number and found these reviews so I hung up.

She introduced herself by name, no company...asked for me by name and stated that I was listed as the onwer of a property in question....The address they inquired about is a rental property that I lived at five years prior. They then wanted the name of the owner of that property...did not give them any information

Calling me about a couple of friends of mine who used me as a reference. I'm sure it's some kind of auto loan or something. My friends moved to a different state, broke up, and I don't know where either of them are now. I'm not anybody's guardian. If you make a shady loan to someone and have to use a debt collector to try to get info, that's on you, don't rely on a third party.

They would not explain who they were when asked several times. They wanted private information on people who I don't even know or heard of. I asked them not to call me again. Which then they called again.
