I camcelled optimum TV about a week ago and then these calls started. Never picked up as I don't answer numbers I don't know. Has to be them. They sucked before I cancelled, and they suck even more after! Figures.

I see some respondents say this is from Optimum retention. I am a NEW Optimum customer, so there is nothing to retain... yet. At any rate, there was only silence when I answered, so whoever it is, it's a robo.

Retentions Dept for Optimum (Company) reported by


This number is the retention's dept. for Optimum subscribers who recently cancel their service(s). It called me numerous times, most of which I did not answer, however, two times I did answer I was placed on hold music for one minute before it dropped the call. On a long shot and looking to **** off some steam, I decided to call the number back and immediately got in touch with an Optimum representative who found the call I received was due to me cancelling the TV service. They attempted to give me their new customer Triple Play offer of 99/month for a year however, after pressing, it would actually be $155/month after taxes, box rental fees and other service charges. I declined the offer and made note of the service practice of robot calling customers and that they should pass this off to their superiors because the number is clearly labeled a nuisance number online. Hope this helps anyone whose received these calls.

After hearing hold music, a male voice came on and asked for me by name. He didn't seem to realize that the call had rolled into voice mail.
