My boss received this call previously. I call QuickBooks myself and spoke to a rep who said Quickbooks will never call you to update your system. If you receive this call, hang up. Call QuickBooks at 1-888-829-8589 in Canada and you can ask them about your account. They will tell you they will not solicite you.

They called me last week. They told me they can help me upgrade my Q/B version. Later They charged me $1,195 for annual fee. Next day I called this number and told they I paid Q/B annual fee in January and they should give me full refund. They refused give me refund. After I talked to Q/B Philippine support team, they told me they don't have support team in India. This is a fraud. At the end, I call my credit card company. The Rep. knows they are scammer and will take my money back from this Indian guy. This Indian guy is very smart and can decode any software in the USA.

Our company was scammed a couple of times by these people posing as QuickBooks support. They have legitimate software and perform the actual tasks to fix the errors you inquire about, however, they are NOT in fact QuickBooks support and charge unreasonable fees only for the errors to occur again, and so they in hopes the cycle repeats and they can continue to siphon money from businesses.

A man by the name of William Day ( heavy foreign accent ) called and said my QuickBooks was no longer backing up and they show an error message to my Quickbooks. Said my maintenance protection contract had expired in September and to renew it would cost $1100!! This is a scam because Quickbooks never charges that amount for a data protection contract. Asked for his call back number to see if it was a different number than the one being displayed on my called ID and it was. I contacted the real Intuit Quickbooks number and reported this scam to them. They confirmed they would never charge that amount for any service protection plan. DO NOT FALL FOR CALLERS SCAM!

Guy with a foreign told me I had errors on my quick books which I have not had any errors. So I got off the phone with him and called QuickBooks and they told me this is a SCAM.... so do not fall for this!

They got me exactly a year ago, said there was something wrong with my company file on quickbooks, I allowed them in my computer and it cost me $799.00 to have them fix the issue, they got me once bot not this time.. this should be reported before they scam too many other people

Foreign accent states my QuickBooks isn't updating correctly. He knew my name, company, our QuickBooks history and versions, and that I'm the sole user. He had me do an update and said I should be seeing that new files have downloaded instead of Nothing New Downloaded showing on my status. He then wanted to share my screen which I refused while googling this phone number where I saw these comments. Thanks everyone for posting comments to help. When I asked how to verify he's with QuickBooks the scammer said I must be mistaken and then hung up on me.

I asked him to tell me my Quickbooks licence number and product number, and he FAILED!!! I said, you hang up please, let me call quickbooks myself and ask them to update my Quickbooks if necessary. He tried to access my Quickbooks through some teamwiever type of website. TOTAL SPAM!!!! BE CAREFUL!!!

A man with foriegn accent called my cell phone today. At least there were five calls before this one and left message. I just felt the telemarketer was too eager to have me update my Quickbood, and that made me uncomfortable. No tech supports would keep calling customers to update a software. Sounds fishy.
