I just received the same call. they got pretty offended when I decline to verify my identity. I said excuse me you are the one calling me , You have my name and phone number. How did you get my consent to have my identity and call me. You need to verify your company , your name and the account your agency created without my consent.

Lady called everyday for about 2 weeks from a 515-207-6675 left a threatening message telling me that she will call my HR dept and this was my final notification every call she made and she had a formal complaint that was ready to be processed under my name (which is not my name anymore, I am remarried) and she was releasing it to my local jurisdiction, she goes on to say this complaint was funded and it attached to my name and social and I need to get legal representation and so on....I called her back told her that name wasn't me she said Okay! I will take you off my list, my ex husband called today and said she called him! I told him it was a scam don't even bother. I tried to call the number 888-398-1552 back and it went to a robocall vm, total scam if you ask me!

I probably should have just hung up on the roto-call to my personal work number, but I didn't. I actually received the original call from phone number 769-867-8128. It mentioned my husband's name, so I told him about it. It indicated to call them back at 888-398-1552. He called back and was told he had some old debt and that they were talking it to court and would have his wages garnished. There is no such debt by the way. They e-mailed him a letter with a vague letterhead and a fake address. That was pretty funny. But then they proceeded to continue to call him and my work number. The other number they call from is 601-398-9666. When they called me at work, the lady on the other line had no problem spilling the beans about a supposed debt that wasn't mine. Even though we are married, they aren't supposed to provide that much information to a 3rd party. But I guess it doesn't matter since it is all fake. When you call them back, they answer "Mediation". No company name or anything. The letterhead on the e-mail said Restitution Clerk, 384 NorthYards Blvd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. TEL: 1-888-398-1552. That's it...no company name or anything. I Googled the address and it is a parking lot. If you get a call from this or any of the other numbers listed in this post, just ignore them. We followed this a little further than we should have because we find it funny.

What do they get out of it?

Threatened HR wage garrnishment (Scam call) reported by


This started off with them calling my mother. A woman supposedly named Barbara Simposon called threatening court action. Said my case had already been sent to court and wanted to know if I was willing to settle. I have no outstanding debt and have never done business with the company she said I owed. This is just a scam, though they did have an alarming amount of my personal information including last four of my SS#. I reported it to my state AG. I knew it was a scam when I started asking for details like what court it was filed with and in which state, what was the account number, etc and they hung up on me.

Called and threatened to contact HR and also garnish my wages and more legal actions against me for a "litigation case" against me. First time I ever hear of any case against me, have never received any court summons or notification of any case against me. I asked what this was in regards to and they couldn't provide with case number or where this court case against me is at, no county state, or city info nor any details about said case or for what. I was called from 515-528-7871 but told me to call them at an 888-398-1552 number. They could not provide me with their name nor organization they are affiliated with, I said I was not giving them any of my information as they called me and this could be a scam. As soon as I said that they hung up on me.

Just like everyone stated before. Same thing contacted everyone in my ex father in law, husband and the wonderful ex monster in law! Called back. Left messages returned 2 days later threatening civil court. Online payday loan. I never took. They couldn't provide me with any info. And they continue to harass family and ex family.

I called this number per the messages family members received and it rang and I was sent to a voicemail only identified as a number. I had a similar scam happen a few years ago and they tried to say I took out a payday loan in a state i had previously lived in but no longer lived in.

Left a voicemail looking for the hubby. Some kind of civil dispute which is nonsense and looking for a call back to a different number. No personal or company name was given so that was a complete discredit right there. There was also no case number or paper trail proof provided for me to look up and no www. The voicemail had no information in it, but a threat that this voicemail was my official notification. Didn't speak fast but it was difficult to understand some of what she said. Also, my hubbys name was a recording and the rest of the message was a woman's voice.

Left a message for a member of my extended family who has no association with my phone number. Claim to be from "mediation", but no mention of company or what supposed suit is about. Threatens "loss of rights" if you don't call back. Tried calling...went straight to voicemail with no mention of company name. Tried calling their "contact number" and got the same thing. continues to call me and leave messages stating they are calling from "mediation" and asks for me by my maiden name, which I have not used legally in over 10 years. The operator informs me they are qualifying the ability to serve me at my place of employment (which is illegal), and that if I do not contact them I give up my right to dispute the issue and local law enforcement will be contacted to serve me with an arrest warrent.

You're right it's BS. Retain for your records and file a complaint on both the 888-398-15xx and 501-244-31xx numbers. They're from the same scammers. Doing this during a pandemic no less. It's disgusting.
