AARP Roadside assistance- scam (Scam call) reported by miffed
Caller ID showed it to be AARP Roadside assistance, so I answered. Live female asked if I was ( used my first name ) and I replied yes. Asked if I still lived at ( stated my address ) and I said Yes. Advised the call may be recorded for quality control purposes. She proceeded to state that in appreciation for my valued membership, if I renewed now, WITH A CREDIT CARD, they would give me a $5 discount ! I said NO. She proceeded to assure me my transaction would be secure ( OH, OK,,,,,,,,,,,NOT !) I again said no. She spouted off another 800 number that I didn't get, that I could call if I had any questions about this call and told me to have a nice day.

Why can't they get real jobs? (Telemarketer) reported by Polock
Someday I'll meet a telemarketer face-to-face and simply punch them. Yeah, I know...childish and immature on my part and the odds the one I punch actually called me is slim. But, I've been annoyed by these people for years and enough is enough. You simply cannot get away from them, and the "DNC" list can't stop them because the law allows them to use random numbers. Funny-the law protects THEIR rights to annoy us on phone lines WE pay for, but doesn't protect US from their harassments. So, I'll get arrested, but it will be worth it in my small mind.
