Woman said she was from APP Star and asked to speak to the owner. I asked the nature of her call and she said "I just need to ask him a question" . I asked again regarding? She sounding exasperated said "Is the Owner in?" I told her that our owner was out of Dallas Texas and her response "Well you could have just gotten that out of the way in the beginning" and she hung up on me. Very obviously a scam. Time is money and she needed to get to the next call.

They asked to speak to the owner. When I asked what it was regarding, he "John Anderson" asked if it were ok to divulge that to the owner. I said "well I need to know who to pass you to". He said "What do you mean? I'm asking for the owner." I said, "well, the owner passed away so...." His response: "Oh. I'm sorry." *click*

AppStar Financial SCAM Credit Card Processing (Scam call) reported by


888-384-7876 just called our business. Caller ID came up as "800 Service". Unfortunately in our line of business we have to answer these calls as some are insurance companies, law firms, extended warranties, etc. This time it was a SCAM. The male caller was rude as can be and demanded to speak to the owner. When pressed for who was calling, he said his name was John and he was calling from AppStar Financial and that the owner would be expecting his call. That's BS. We've never heard of this company, we've never dealt with this company, and the owner has no clue who they are. When we once again asked "How may we help you?", he responded with "If you're not the owner, then you f'in can't!" and hung up on us. We'll be reporting the call as harassment and blocking the number.

Very rude woman named “charlene” called asking to speak to a employee at my office, refused to give me clarification regarding the reason of the call, started yelling when I wouldn’t transfer her without a reason for the call or company she was calling from, and hung up when I said the person she wanted to speak with was in a meeting.
