Before realizing who they were, months ago I tried to work with them and their sister company BCN Inc (who the charges are from). After not being able to reach them by telephone to arrange a new payment schedule I started looking for other numbers to contact them, that when I found out what type of people I was really dealing with. I am now working with my bank to avoid any further charges from them, and recoup charges under "false claims". I should have known it was a scam when they only required a debit card to run charges and not a bank account and routing number (by the way that was a saving grace, making it easier to avoid further charges). They have tried to get new payment information from me 3 times now(and for some reason they can't get my name correct ever, if they wanted my money so bad you would think they would know who they were calling and threatening). Today was just like all of the other voice mails stating that actions will be taken...But the way the voice mail ended with "Good Luck" seems either threatening or taunting. Do not deal with this company or even answer their calls.

I called Piedmont my self to find out what was up ,They no nothing about my son at all no case! nothing! It,s a SCAM!!

This isn't even a legitimate debt collector. Just another scam. Companies don't contact you prior to serving a summons by the phone. Report them to the FCC, the more reports they get the more seriously they take it.

They call me daily with the usual, unsubstantiated threats - no specifics, no names, nothing. I can ignore. But they call my ex-wife: we're divorced almost 10 years, and her father. Guess I'll call and tell them the truth: that I'm hiring a lawyer and if they call any phone number other than mine, even once, I'll let the lawyer deal with it.

Smarter than them

THIS IS NOT A COMPANY, THIS IS A FRAUDULENT INDIVIDUAL TRYING TO SCAM YOU. The law requires that any legitimate debt collector serving papers does so by way of a process server or public servant eg. constable/sheriff etc. If a debt collector sues you they won't contact you first to advise the papers are being served. Report these to your local sheriff and/or the FCC.

They say they are Piedmont Recovery systems and after the introduction started with the usual threats. 1. Nobody would tell you in advance that you would be served. 2. They use only generalities to describe everything because if they said they worked for a Sheriff they'd be in real trouble. Anything I may have owed was from a different life at least 10 years ago. As far as I know I paid all of my payday loans. If they just called me and said I had an unpaid loan from so-and-so company I would have made the effort to straighten it out. But, because they immediately restore to threats, I won't do anything.

I got a message from them. Called the number back but blocked my number from showing up. They guy asked for my name, I gave him the file number they left in the message instead...he then said he was calling for someone named Remarcus something. I then told him that part of the message had been cut off in the recording and there is no one at my number by that name. He then asked for my number to remove it from their list. I gave him my number, hopefully he really does remove it from their calling list. Surprisingly, he was polite to me and didn't hang up on me.

THESE GUYS REALLY HELPED ME OUT WITH PAYING OFF A LOAN THAT I TOOK OUT SOME YEARS AGO AND HELPED MINIMIZE THE DAMAGES..IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE SPEAKING WITH THIS COMPANY..THANKS

This guy is probably the scammer himself. This isn't even a legitimate debt collection company, if they contact you call your local sheriff and report it to the FCC. That's the only way they find these people. For those of you who are unsure just google FDCPA. The Federal Debt Collection Practices Act very clearly states this conduct is prohibited and a debt collection company using these tactics would not only be held liable for damages, but probably could be jailed for impersonating a government official. They claim they will contact your local judge, do what I did hang up and go file an FCC report.

Mt brother used to work for a collection agency and he told me there isn't a REPUTABLE agency around that really helps people. There is no accountability, laws and fairness mean nothing to them, and all that matters is getting the most money they can out of you on debts that were written off years ago and are legally not collectible according to the state's statutes of limitations. The money they get is PURE PROFIT to them and doesn't clear your credit report of the debt at all.

right, called my home and cell simultaneously to advise I am "notified" of impending papers to be served against me... of course I have not received any type of collection letters lately.. so I am a bit in the dark about this one..

Whoever this company is, they are absolute JERKS, they left a message for somebody I didn't know, they stated the name of the person and the action against them. I thought that I would be courteous and inform them that they had the wrong number. About half way through the sentence of trying to tell them they had the wrong number, they hung up. So I called them back up, to get them to remove my number off their list, I also tried to explain, that other guy hung before I could finish the sentence and this person's response was; “That's because you were trying to have conversation” and hung up. Wow I try to keep conversation as short as possible. But I don't hang up on people. THEY ARE ABSOLUTE JERKS!! Wish I new who they were so I could file a complaint against them

Clearly a bottom feeder debt collector. Not following the guidelines of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Left a voicemail telling me that there are two charges against me and that I am now being actively pursued at my job or my home.
