I was called two times a couple of hours apart. Answered the second time, no message from the first call. Said he was following up on my interest in opening a savings account with USAA and wanted to redirect me to someone that could help me with it. I said I had not expressed interest in opening a savings account and that I wanted him to make note of it and not to call me again.

I messed with the guy giving him fake account information but they were very persistent and began threatening to terminate my account if I didn't give them the information haha. If you weren't intelligent enough to know right off that this is a scam you could easily give up your account information as this does sound legit (at least at first).

They've called multiple times and I let it go to voice each time. They only left a voice mail the first time. Did not address me by name or any personal identifiers. Female voice was an extremely fast talker with a very strong foreign accent. Claimed to be USAA Bank. Cold call/robo call scam.

claimed they were USAA but I knew they weren't. I hung up and called USAA to report the number and activity. Confirmed with USAA Rep that the number is not associated with any of their affiliates. USAA Does NOT call it members to silicate sales.
