This is what I feel is a scam phone call stating that I have unconsolidated death, which I don’t and that I need to call them back. My caller ID said no caller ID but they left a number to call back. The message did not include my name or any personal information, it did not say what company she worked for, or really provide any information except her name, phone number to call her back, and said it was about unsecured credit debt. The woman sounded like a professional american woman as to make the call seem legitimate and have people fall for it, (American woman meaning no accent, sounds like someone born and raised in the US, but not even an accent as far as what state I would think she would come from. Here is the message. “Yes this is Marianne Robinson and this message is concerning your unsecured credit debt uh I need to discuss your consolidation or repayment options with the new changes that have taken effect be sure to give me a call at 877-961-4414 uh with your reference number of 40408 thank you…” Just to add, from many different numbers from many states I have received threatening phone calls from an automated, synthesized type voice that supposedly is an Officer Ryan Smith of IRS stating that I will be arrested due to fraudulent activities… This is the first one I’ve received from the number listed above, but I have received probably 30 from the fake IRS guy. Watch out they are all scams. They will call from different numbers, different states, block their number, make their number look official, etc. but they are still scams. I reported the other ones and they said either change my number, don’t answer any calls that I don’t recognize the number from even though they said they can somehow spoof it does seem like it is someone you think it is and it’s not, block the numbers that call, don’t call them back, don’t give them any information if you are on the phone with them, things like that. They say that’s all that can be done right now. They
