Offered free channels and followed with offer for other premium channels for more money. Asked them to remove me from Direct tv offers and they hung up.

I called DirecTV - the number on my bill - and reported this. They said they have been getting a lot of complaints about this and are reporting all of them. Yesterday I set up an appointment to have our equipment upgraded and the calls started right after I did that. DirecTV said they don't know how someone is getting our phone numbers but they are posing as the tech that will be coming to our house and are fishing for information like address, asking for a credit card number for a deposit on the equipment - only problem I'm getting my equipment for free. I was told under no circumstances should I give them any information. They said the tech that will be coming to our house would not be calling this early and they normally call 30 minutes to an hour prior to arriving. So if you get calls from this number and the caller ID says DirecTV just don't answer. Anytime DirecTV has called me they always leave a message, these people don't. If you are a DirecTV customer and get these calls, call the number on your bill and report it so they have a record.
