got the text and the call- yes it’s a service i signed up for through key bank mobile app. called the number on my card instead of calling this number back: yes there was a fraud hold on my card, they were able to stop fraudulent charge and issue new card. key just needs to use actual fraud number or identify this one better

Yes the phone number 18772757165 is fake and somebody is trying to scam you with your bank. The bank does not send a text message asking you to call them at 18772757165. This is complete crap.

Key Bank Fraud Prevention Deptarment (Service) reported by


During the second week of our vacation, my Key Bank debit card started to be declined but not my wife's debit card on the same account. When I got home, there was a voice mail from Key Bank Fraud Prevention that mentioned possible fraud with my debit card and gave the last 4 digits of my debit card and asked me to call them back at 877-2758-7165 to prevent interruption to using my debit card. To protect myself, I called the number on the debit card (1-800-KEY-2YOU) instead. After signing in with the usual debit card # and pin, I spoke to a real person, who verified my identity with the last 4 digits of SSN and my ZIP code. They said a temporary hold had been placed on my debit card and then questioned several purchases that I had attempted while on vacation in another state. I informed them that all 3 were legitimate attempts to use my debit card. After sending me a one time 4 digit code via text message, which I had to read back to them, they released the hold on my debit card. Bottom Line: The message I received was legitimate.

I called my Bank Directly (not through the number in the text message) they did have a security alert for fraudulent charges. Would always recommend not calling back any number in a text message. Always call your bank through their normal channels.

I didn't answer call because I don't know number. earlier I got a text for a fraud report. I checked number and saw everyone's comments so called my bank. I don't know who that number is but man I talked with at my bank took information. I now have this number blocked. Maybe paranoid but not taking the chance.

This is not a number attached to key Bank as per what they relayed to me via a voicemail left on my phone...they said it was fraud alert somebody was trying to charge my account remotely, but when I went directly to my bank they said there was no such thing that they could see...I have gotten similar calls from a different number talking about my servers firewall had been breached but again to go directly to the company I know and trust and they had no similar info...it's just people trying to gain access to ur a personal information for identity fraud...

I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. On the other hand, I am not the only one searching for this number as can be seen from different pages... Does anyone know who might be calling?
