Bunch of scamsters will call you repeatedly and tell you ATT is upgrading service and your service will go down in a certain time. They will gain access to your account if you give them any pin number. They buy new iphone Xs using your account and activate them. You will loose service once they activate.

AT&T PIN Scam (Scam call) reported by


Claimed to be from AT&T, and that there was a nationwide-update occurring. I would be suffering a possible outage on Tue, 02/13/18 from 3-6pm central time. They said they would be sending a PIN to me and I needed to give them that PIN. When the text message with the PIN came in, it specifically said "AT&T will never call you to ask for a PIN...If you did not request change, call 800-331-0500 ASAP." I called AT&T and they told me to block the number in the phone app. (866-978-6953 was the number that called me). VERIFIED SCAM.

Claimed he was from AT&T and I would be having service issues due to upgrades in my area. Requested my verification #. I hung up. Called AT&T customer service, they do NOT call customers because of upgrades!

Duke Energy Scam (Scam call) reported by


Received a call from this number at my business. Caller stated he needed to speak with the owner. I asked what it was regarding (without letting him know I was the owner). He replied that he was from Duke Energy and that there was a cut off scheduled and told me the address (which was my business address). My electric service IS NOT thru Duke Energy. He hung up on me.

They are trying to get access to your cellular account. They were able to trick my minor daughter into sending them a verification number that allowed them to change our pass code on our account and then added two people to our account and then went to Bust Buy and purchased 2 iPhone 8's on our acount.
