Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes (Scam call) reported by Josh Hayl.
A man claiming to be a Federal Officer with the Las Vegas gaming commission Garcia and said his name was David Garcia and gave a phone number to reach him at 702-487-3793_Ext#303,303,then gave me the number of Publishers Clearing House so I could call their claims department about receiving my second- place prize sweepstakes money, after several minutes I was informed that they would need me topay them $7,500 in order to cover the fees necessary to receive my $750,000 prize winnings. They said there had been three attempts to reach me and inform me that I had won second place in the sweepstakes but I had never received any thing in the mail to that effect. To validate their claim as to who they were they provided me with a phone number for the IRS in Washington DC as well as a check number and PIN to verify the prize-winning check which was being held aside for me since 2014. Aside from the phone number for Publishers Clearing House that I called, he had given me a second number for them which was 800-658-3417. The number he gave me for the phony IRS was 202-996-3883. These people were very professional at all times and of all the scams that have been tried on me these folks were the most believable, if anyone asks you for money to collect a sweepstakes prize winnings hang up.
