Fake Microsoft Tech Support (Robocall) reported by


I received a call recorded in an automated female voice. The message stated that my Microsoft account is now blocked because "suspicious activity" was detected from outside of the United States. I was then prompted to call the number (866-853-5938) to "unblock" my Microsoft account. Needless to say, the only thing now blocked is the offending phone number, as I blocked the number from being able to reach my cell phone.

Same thing happened to me, its deff a scam, i called back twice and it was the same guy (indian accent) claiming to be tech support from microsoft but he had no idea who i was he was trying to get info from me, my pc's brand and he wanted me to type in a website in my browser, i hung up. when i called back and told him i knew it was a scam and i was on to his bs he hung up on me.

Same phone number. Robocall telling me about suspicious acivity detected from outside the U.S. I returned the call. A male nonnative English speaker identified himself as from Microsoft. I said nothing and he hung up. I have received 4 calls from the same number in the past hour. I called back but said nothing when the connection was made. After a few seconds I was disconnected.

Said someone had been trying to access my computer. Of course, he wanted me to give him access to my computer but I told him I wasn't stupid and he wasn't getting access to my computer. I received 3 calls the same day (June 12th)

Has called around ten times today alone, leaving a message saying my Microsoft account is in danger, they are closing to down to "protect me" and that I needn't to call back to get them to unlock it. I tried answering just to get them to stop calling, but it's a robotic voice instructing me to call.
