Allstate, It's OK just trying to coordinate a pick up time for a totalled car. The problem is they use Indian call centers and most of them are scammers so it sounds like a scam even though it's legit.

They left a voicemail and it seemed suspicious. Called my adjuster and it was legit. It was from the claims department for Allstate.

I am dealing with a car accident, but the call just wasn't sitting right with me. They wanted the last four of my soc, they wanted make and model of my car to verify my identity... and while it came up as a call from my home town, it said "unknown number" once I started talking to them. They gave me this number to call them back, I googled it instead. And made a call to my allstate agent.

This was a real company calling about my wrecked car. I spoke with a real person. This is one department at ALLSTATE. Legitimate business call.

Called on my claim that ended. They said they needed paperwork. Why not just mail me information that is needed. Did not trust. I can easily talk to my allstate agent if any problem.

You can call your agent but your agent does not handle the claim portion. Agents only handle premium or policy side. Agents do not have any authority over the claim itself. That would be up to the claims team. The agents and the claim reps are Two different departments
