They have been calling me repeatedly for months now and I know it’s a scam because the number they ask you to call is a different number that Scotiabank actually uses and when I called the real Scotiabank they confirmed this was a scam and to never give personal info over the phone which I did not. It’s honestly driving me nuts, I keep blocking these numbers but they continue calling me!

Have received 3 calls today, from a local number - 1-613-621-3251. i finally answered and they asked to speak to (my name) about a personal banking matter. I took a message and they proceeded to give me this number to call back - 1-866-819-7382. There are so many scams these days, who gives banking information over the phone anymore?

Call display said it was ScotiaBank, started out as a recording the a human came on and said it was urgent and my husband was to call back right away...I Googled the number and it seems to be a scam. Received a 2nd call from a different number 1-647-943-2911(also came up as ScotiaBank)same thing.

I get calls from this number every day; it's usually some person with an accent claiming to be calling on behalf of Scotiabank. I asked him, "Okay, if you are really a Scotiabank employee, tell me my date of birth." He made up some flimsy excuse about not having access to the computer at that moment. Riiiiight... DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS CALLER! IT'S A SCAMMER!

I have had 15 calls from this number over the last 3 days and not one voice message. I'm assuming that it's from Scotiabank based on other reports but as they've never left a message I really have no idea. I'm getting pretty fed up, especially as I don't have any business with them and never have.

I had a missed call from this number. When I called back they asked for my phone number. Then they started asking for my name. I asked that they verify themselves, and they were unable to do so. They said if you go to the local branch, they would just tell you to call back the number. I suspect this is a scam.
