Fake tech support (Scam call) reported by


Claimed to be a tech support company. They had charged $1049 for 3 years coverage and called from multiple spoofed numbers saying my protection would be auto-renewed for 5 years at the cost of $6800 which would be auto-debited from my checking acct. They then claimed that to cancel the coverage renewal I had to clear any pending transactions (the $6800 which they said I owed for 3 years coverage) and tried to get me to wire transfer all my savings to a bank supposed to be in NYC (routing number took it through Memphis, TN). They would not take a card, claiming it was for my protection after terminating my "contract." They are a scam as no legitimate company would refuse a credit card for terminating a contract except credit card companies have safeguards against fraud. Wire transfers do NOT have safeguards like that which makes it harder to trace and recover the money sent them. They have several names (pro-help24.com, unidelevers llc etc.) The man I talked to called himself "John Cooper" and had a very thick India accent. I fell for their long con once, but not again. Do not answer them if they call you. If your browser freezes call Apple or Microsoft directly, not the tech support they claim on the message, or get help from a local business you can trust.

I did received this same number for a same issue and they also offer me the same $6,800 for 5 years. The only different is they claimed named to be David Williams and they called me when I checked my voicemail at 4-28-2023

since forbearance is ending in September 2021 they were calling to help me get loan forgiveness or something to that effect.
