I work in the IT field - They had my number, name, and email address , so obviously something failed within HP security whether that being a person or server security. Stated they wanted to refund my money, that's of course when I asked do they know who they are calling. The only HP computer I have bought was 10 years ago so refunding money to me seems not likely in the first place. Had some time so I went through the steps The guy had me do a Windows+R key to bring up a run box. Then type msconfig, click on the services tab. Best part i now he transfers me to the Refund specialist to complete the steps (note that no such transfer took place besides someone handing the phone over to someone else.. Real easy to tell as the background noise never changed. This guy tells me to start some service (couldn't remember and didn't care cause I wasn't doing the steps) Of course I acted like I knew nothing and kept them going. Had me closing out the msconfig services then do the windows+r again. remove msconfig and type in www.supremecontrol.com and press okay I didn't of course. I told him that the page isn't coming up He asks what do you see I told him its saying it has a virus He then proceeded to tell me they had to go- I said wait I want my refund What can I do about your site having a virus He states "you very smart twice" and I hung up the phone and blocked the number. String me along and I can do the same thing to you! Stupid scammers

They call to say I have money to refunded back to me. But for some reason the wanted me on my computer and go thru some steps. My cell already showed up as a likely scam call. So I looked it up on google and use the number and saw all the same things that the others have written on here.

They claim to be from HP, they call every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day....saying they want to give me a refund, I told them to take me off their phone list and to stop calling me, he said "he couldn't do that!" I told him it was the law......then I told them to "if they owe me money to just mail it to the address he has on file", they said "they can't do that, and to just turn on my computer". I told them that, "I'm not an ****, and they should go to jail for what they are doing!" I then called the REAL HP and they said "they have no such number with their company, and that they would never keep calling me, they would send an email first anyhow.", then I called my local police, and they told me "it's a known issue scam, and all I can do is block the number, unless I feel threatened and/or if my information has been stolen."

Called for weeks. then I finally called back the number it said HP customer service. They said they were going to refund me for my extended warranty because my laptop was having problems and they did offer me the service in that time frame. Asked me to press Window and R and then gave me an user ID and password to type. then told ,e to go on wwww.supremecontrol.com and also to go on teamviewer.com and they were troubleshooting my computer automatically.

Man with extremely heavy Indian accent said he could fix my HP computer which he said was heavily infected with some virus. Bull. Nothing wrong with my computer. Seems to me that if you have ever had any kind of interaction with HP customer service in India, they immediately sell your phone number and info to scammers. It's an ongoing tradition with India. And we continue to use their customer services, instead of using our own American ones. Why???????
