Claiming to be from Citi Bank before to collect debts on best buy credit card which I do have and I do owe. Ive already called them directly and talked to them. This number is not on their website for anything. Claimed to be CiTiBank and said my account was late, but would wa (Scam call) reported by


Stated they were CitiBank Credit, that this was a ''courtesy call'' and claimed my payment was late, but would waive the late charges if $150 payment was made today. Wanted me to either give them the account number or my SS number. Told them I would contact Citibank directly . My account is current, Citibank informed me the number was not a legitimate and not anywhere in their system

When you call this number they say they are Citibank but they can't tell me why they are calling. I have a couple Citibank cards but they can't tell me which one they are calling about. They ask for SSN, etc. I had ZERO success getting them to tell me why they are calling me. it's got to be a scam!

Verified online Citibank there was a past due amount that matches. citiretailservices.citibankonline.com. Will pay there!

This number called my phone twice within an hour. Picked up and they were asking for my husband (first and middle name, not first and last name). Asked what this was in regards to: “a really late payment for his Citi card”. Ma’am, first, you’ve reached his wife. Second he does not have a Citi card to be late on. Her response: “oh. Well, what’s your information then it’s probably your late payment then”. I’m sorry, what? I hung up and called Citi from the number on the back of MY card. They confirmed no one from them has made contact with me, they have no idea who it was that called me and advised to give no information to them, and I am up to date on all of my payments as I still have a 0 balance on them

This foreign lady called me from this number claiming to be Citi bank and that I was late on my payment. I vividly remember making my payment and she told me “I didn’t see it in that system.” She then proceeded to say that I owed the payment, plus an egregious late fee. I knew right then it was a scam because I make all my payments on time. BLOCK THIS NUMBER.

Called my number and asked for my husband. When I told the foreign man that he was looking for my spouse, he asked for my name so that he can discuss the matter of my husband's Citi Bank card with me. I refused and called the number back. It does say it is Citi Bank when I called back, but I Googled the number and the reviews say it is a scam number. Why would he need my information. He then asked me if I had the same name as my husband lol and I told him no. He asked for my name again and when I refused again, he asked me when a good time to call back would be.. I told him he was looking for my husband, not me and dont call back again. My husband was up to date on payments, so there's no reason they should be calling. Very suspicious.

Scammers claiming to represent Citibank. Called Citibank using the number on the back of my card and they confirmed that this number and company name (Citi Client First) are NOT affiliated with Citibank or any of their subsidiaries. Do not give these people any information. Just hang up or don't even answer.
