I call back and... (Scam call) reported by


I call back and a woman pretending to be from Bank of America answered. I told her I received this call couple of times and asked what was about, she asked me my account number, them I told they could find through my phone number (the same I was calling) and she said what is your number? Every time we call to a Bank or companies you have a relationship they have your information through the phone number. I just hanged up and blocked the number.

A person called me claiming that I was late on a car payment - seeing that I just paid my invoice 3 days ago and received a confirmation/posted to my account, it did not add up. I called BofA and they confirmed this is a SCAM and they did not call me.

Called number and it claims to be Bank of America . U call it rings once and you get a generic women’s voice that says Bank of America and than rings again and you get connected to a live person right away. I wish banks were that fast .

lol Right! I knew the moment they asked for my social it was BS! I hung up and called the bank from the number on their mobile app. The agent verified there was no reason for them to contact me. I asked about the number, he looked it up and was unable to verify it as a BoA number. He thought it smelled fishy too. And everyone should know that if you get calls from someone and you weren’t expecting it, PLEASE hang up and dial a number you know to be legit!

BEWARE FRAUDULENT SCAM CALL (Scam call) reported by


This number has been calling for months, claiming to be with Bank of America & trying to aggressively obtain financial information. I contacted Bank of America directly and this number is NOT affiliated with BoA. It is BoA strict policy to not communicate with its customers in this manner. DO NOT give them any information. When I confronted them about not being a legitimate caller, they abruptly hung up.

I had the exact same experience. I called BofA to ensure they did not have a banking matter with me and they let me know that they keep track of every email, text, and phone call that they make to a customer. They had not reached out with any contact to me in over a month. They assured me that it was absolutely fraud, so I blocked the number in my phone. Two days later, they tried to contact me at work. Again, confirmed with BofA that it is fraud. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION.

Scam.I had a missed call and vm for this number. They claimed to be Bank of America and even had my name and my cosigner name. The man had a very strong Indian accent. I called the number back and it starts out ok with Bank of America recorded greeting BUT I was transferred automatically to a live human without pushing any buttons. When does this ever happen without having to input any info to the automated system? Scam. I called a known BoA number and of course they ask you for some type of input through the phone. Do not answer or give this number any personal information!

Message indicated a banking error from "Bank of America" The call-back number had a "Bank of America" recorded response, but no menu. Eventually an operator answered and asked for my social security number and full account number... SCAM.
