recording programmed to respond to certain questions. called from 716 215 2272; provided 1 866 487 4515 as a number to call for information - "sorry, call cannot be completed at this time...". it's unclear to me if this is legit. website (nationalpolicesupportfund.com) unclear.

The person said he was raising money for the police. I told him I did not have any money to donate at the moment. He was super pushy, trying to get me to donate and offering booster donations to Goodwill and other organizations. I asked for the number so I could "donate back" after. He then gave me the number to call with any questions, and thank me for my time. The robot voice saying the call would be recorded for record purposes sounded so real.

Said he was raising money for the police. i asked how he got my number and he said it would be hard to say exactly how he got my number. He then gave me the 1-866 number to call with any questions. I hung up.

The person who did the recording was very convincing. The robot will interpret your voice and input to determine the next output from the bot. It is possible to circumvent the programming (very sales oriented and pushy) by asking about how your phone number was called, repeating the contact information, and then thanking them for their time. You can hang up and the bot will not bother you again. The most recent number I received a call from was 1-469-270-9831.
