This is a legitimate company who serves the community in resolving student loan debts. They offer a FREE option through the studentloans.gov website for consolidating your Perkins, Nursing Student, Health Professions, Dental, and Loans for Disadvantaged students. If they call you, they already have your Full Name, Date of Birth, SSN, and an address. They HAVE to verify this information due to Federal Disclosure & Privacy laws. They will first ask for you by for full name then your Date of Birth or SSN or Address, so they don't disclose your debt to the wrong person. Answer their calls and confirm your information so that you don't have outstanding balances in connections. Colleges hire ConServe to collect on student loans that they provided. These loans are different than unsubsidized stafford loans and are charged separately by schools. It is NOT illegal to call your job or relatives to get in touch with you. If you owe money, resolve it. It's good for the economy to pay past due balances. Consolidation gets your loans out of default and collections. You are not required to pay ConServe anything to help you apply for consolidation. All of your payments will be based on your income and will go to a student loan servicer of your choice. SUNY, Temple, Pace, Stanford, Southwestern Law School, etc, all use ConServe to resolve student debt. Answer the phone!
