They called my father in law who has Parkinson’s disease, 73 years olds, gets confused easily as well. Not good with technology. Somehow they were able to get in to his laptop, he provided his password for his computer while they were going through his files. He said he was on the phone with them for awhile, he hung up immediately upon finally realizing it could be scam.I’m not sure what they did yet, but will be taking it to a computer tech.

Trying to sell me a service to repair my computer (Scam call) reported by L. Glenn
These people said they were going to fix my husband's computer. (He has Parkinson's Disease, and gets easily confused.) He allowed them access to his laptop, and they told him it needed to be fixed and asked him to pay $500 from his Paypal account so that they could fix it for him. He did. He was on the phone with them when I got home from work, and I freaked out. I immediately got in touch with PayPal to dispute the charge. Of course, all our credit cards and financial institutions had to be notified in case of fraud. I am guessing they were able to capture his passwords. When I rebooted his computer, their software was still on it, and I was unable to remove it. I am taking the laptop to my computer guys to have the old harddrive removed and destroyed and have a new one installed. BEWARE of calls from this number!
