While the number itself is a valid Koodo number, that can be spoofed. In my case, my phone identified the incoming call as being from "Lily Hewitt", which was a dead giveaway. I've worked information security for a long time, and this is pretty blatantly obvious when you're used to this kind of thing. I see spoof attempts daily.

My phone did not even ring. The call went to voicemail. No message was left, it just played blank message. I do not receive calls from my own service provider, so why Telus? And, why not leave a message, except if it is a robocall. Definitely blocking the number.

I hung up on the person because I was paranoid, and I called Koodo directly myself and they confirmed that it was a legitimate deal. If you're worried, call Koodo directly yourself and ask them to confirm the deal and the notes on the file.

Strange behaviour when I answered and radio went off with police call. I called back and told me they were my cellphone provider and wanted my PIN number. I did not provide, said that I was suspicious and they referred me to my local store. BE CAREFUL! Very smooth...
