The number is legit. This number is for OptimRX. It’s a prescription insurance company that my wife’s company uses. They recently changed their policies regarding medications they will cover and started making doctors get prior authorizations for certain prescriptions. The call I got was to inform me that my prescription was approved.

The message wasn't complete but they said my medication had been approved. I am assuming this is a legitimate call because I went to the Dr this morning and complained that the insurance was denying coverage for my RX and they said they would dispute it for me. I didn't expect a response so quickly but I'm assuming that's who called. Optium RX works with United Healthcare as I have dealt with them before. Hope this helps.

I got the same thing. The caller did not identify himself or herself. I don't even know who placed the call. However it was clear that it was a denial of my request for medication. That part is that okay, but the unbusiness like matter of the call was not okay. At the end of the call there is a comment saying that If you'd like more information, and then nothing more ---just a hang up. Therefore, if there is more information available I can't get it because they didn't finish their sentences. Extremely rude and unprofessional conduct on the phone.
