Confirmed a scam by actual Key Bank branch. Called 2-3 time per day for a month and left msg. Unintelligible due to volume or accent so I ignored all. Finally received a letter in mail saying account was closed and in arrears, called number on letter, and after some discussion realized it was same people. Checked with branch and accounts are fine. They've been doing this for years!!!

They called me saying they were Concentrix working with KeyBank about a late payment I had. After getting off the phone with them, I proceeded to call actual KeyBank about it. They told me that it is legitimate and they work on getting payments for past due accounts. It might be legit, but it's quite annoying.

They claim to be from Key Bank yet the bank has never heard of them. There is also a post on Key Bank's website warning about scams. Do not give out your personal information over the phone, especially passwords or usernames the bank will never ask you for these.

Of course, they are Keybank debt collector. They already have your account details and they just need to verify if you are the owner by asking the last 4 of your ssn and not the full #. That shows they are legit. There are just many ***americans who doesn't want to pay their debt.

The number is 100% a Key Bank number. If you owe a payment or any money they'll be calling you. It comes up as a scam on some cell phone providers but it is completely legitimate. They only ask for the last 4 of a Social Security number to verify your identity for your own safety.
