Jenna Burns from ARS called and left a v-mail message. Did not leave a name as to who owed the debt, did not give a name of the original creditor, did not give the actual amount owed. DO NOT give these scammers any information. Ask them for the original documents with your signature, ask them for a brick and mortar address (i.e. 2345 Some Street, Anytown, USA). DO NOT accept a PO Box as it could be anywhere. Tell them (once you get their address) that you will be contacting your attorney to file charges for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices.

They were trying to get me to pay any amount I choose on a prior debt from 2012. They said I owed $500+, but they knew I had financial difficulties, so I could choose the amount I could pay today, as a full and final payment. I chose $150. They accepted that amount. Of course I had no intention of making a payment on a fake debt. I told them that the payment would be made through my attorney's office, in order to make sure it was in fact, a full and final payment. They hung up. SCAM

This is a "process server" scam. If your number has changed recently they call one of your references to get in touch with you. They got my friend's number that I used as a reference on a payday loan back in 2007. Their goal is to intimidate, threaten, and scare you into making a credit card payment over the phone. If they don't get what they want they are rude. The people who work at these call centers can't or don't want to get real jobs. The "process server" was Jennifer Burns. Just ignore this SCAM.
