Refused to identify unless I gave him personal info (Scam call) reported by


Heavily accented man asked for me but slaughtered my name. Without letting him know he had the person he was looking for, I asked who he was. He refused to identify himself until I verified I was the person he was calling for. I refused, telling him I needed him to know who he was and the purpose of his call so I could direct it properly. He said it was regarding an “important business matter” and couldn’t say anything more until he spoke to [my horribly mispronounced name]. I told him he was being too vague, and he just repeated he needed to speak to ___ “about an important business matter”. I hung up, because anyone who refuses to provide their name or business name is clearly orchestrating some sort of scam. I wasn’t surprised when I immediately Googled the number afterwards and saw all the reports of it being a scam number.

called twice and txt back didn't bounce so using cellphone. called after repeated calls from 2 scammers demanding to talk to deceased person about real estate and who refused to give full name nor supposed business, but used other names previously. todays first followup scam call similar from 866-849-7914

Male caller asked for deceased person regarding business venture of deceased person. When informed of death of person, called said "he will take care of the matter" and caller hung up the phone. Caller refused to specify name of business venture or any other information.

I just received a similar call where he repeatedly said he needed to speak to ____ about an important business matter...though he could not provide a company name of even his own name.
